If you're here, you get a look at the story behind making the cover art for Show You the Life.

I love this cover, and it really does feel like it matches the vibe of the song.

Speaking of, if you haven't already, go check out my insta for a preview of the song.

It's really good.

Anyways, I want to tell you the tale of making this cover:

I thought to myself "this cover would be perfect if it was me like, leaning over a balcony looking at the sky."

Yeah, I don't have a balcony so through my window it is.

Now the fun thing was actually getting the photo.

First of all, I had blinds up that were destroyed by me years ago when I got really into throwing cards for all of about 2 weeks.

So I took them down (finally).

Now to actually get this angle, I put a suitcase on my bed, leaning it against two pillows to keep it standing.

Then I put a ukulele case on top, and further increased the height with a roll of masking tape.

The extendable handle of the suitcase helped hold these up.

Then I took about 20 photos, having 5 seconds to click the button and then quickly run into place each time, until I finally got this one.

There were many adjustments, and many photos of me barely in frame.

But if there's one things I've learned from my various photos through the years, it's that you on;y need one good one.

Then I ran it through a simple filter in an app.

And, voila.

The lovely cover for my incredible song.

Til next time, people.

Piece.
